According to its data, retail sales in the national narrow passenger car market in August 2019 were 1.564 million, down 9.9% from the same period last year. Month-on-month growth of 5.4%. The cumulative sales from January to August reached 13.001 million, down 8.9% from the same period last year.

The 5.4% month-on-month increase in retail sales in August was the lowest on record, further confirming the overdraft effect caused by the national five-clear treasury period in the second quarter. Sales of new energy passenger cars were 71000, down 15.5 per cent from a year earlier and up 6 per cent from a month earlier. Among them, pure electric passenger cars were the same as last year, up 17% from the previous year; mixed models dropped 46% from the same period last year, and dropped 17% month-on-month.
