According to GAC GROUP's official website, the company has released the latest sales figures for August. According to its KuaiBao data, GAC GROUP sold a total of 161582 new cars in August, down 6.4 per cent from a year earlier to 1317588 passenger cars from January to August, down 2.8 per cent from a year earlier.

Subdivided, GAC MOTOR, Guangzhou Auto Fiat Chrysler, Guangzhou Automobile Mitsubishi, Guangzhou Automobile Hino, Guangzhou Automobile BYD New Energy and other cars have declined to varying degrees, of which GAC MOTOR and Guangzhou Automobile Fiat Chrysler and Guangzhou Automobile BYD New Energy declined significantly.

In the joint venture sector, Nissan joint venture manufacturers are outstanding. Among them, GAC Toyota continued its growth momentum in July, with sales of 58000 vehicles in August, up 6.34% from January to August, up 19.44% from January to August. Although GAC Honda Accord stalled in August, it still handed over a satisfactory report card, with sales of 56357 vehicles in August and 502863 vehicles from January to August, achieving double growth.

In addition, GAC-Mitsubishi sold 10800 vehicles in August, down 5.3% from January to August. 790000 vehicles, a slight increase of 1.64% over the same period last year. GAC Fiat Chrysler's sales fell sharply in August, with monthly sales of 5325 vehicles, down 37.64 per cent from January to August, down 37.64 per cent from January to August, down 47 per cent from a year earlier.

It is worth mentioning that GAC GROUP new energy vehicles continue to grow. Among them, GAC NE sold 3816 vehicles in August, up 170% from January to August, up 100% from January to August, and continued to maintain the growth trend. Sales of new energy passenger cars were 27000 from January to August, an increase of 146 per cent over the same period last year.

In terms of cumulative sales in August, only Guangzhou Automobile Honda and Guangzhou Automobile Toyota achieved growth, in addition, GAC MOTOR, Guangzhou Auto Fiat Chrysler, Guangzhou Automobile Mitsubishi and so on have declined to varying degrees. It can also be seen from the group sales data that Japanese brands are still strong in the face of poor sales in the auto market. In terms of new energy, GAC continues to maintain a rare momentum of growth.

It is understood that at present, GAC GROUP's organizational reform has been formally implemented. With the listing and pre-sale of new cars such as Chuanqi GS3, Chuanqi GA6, Qizhi EV, Guangzhou Automobile Toyota iA5, and GAC NE Aion LX, GAC GROUP is also moving step by step towards the future vision of electrification, intelligence, internationalization, sharing and digitalization put forward by its chairman Zeng Qinghong.
