Lexus officially announced the price increase today, with three popular models, the ES, NX and UX, rising between 6000 and 15000 yuan, mainly involving configuration adjustments and upgrading multimedia and security systems.

At present, the official starting price of the Lexus ES has risen from 279000 yuan to 290000 yuan, an increase of 11000 yuan, an increase of 11000 yuan for both ES and ES models, and an increase of 15000 yuan for the ES 300h. In addition, the Lexus UX model also increased by 15000 yuan, with the starting price rising to 283000 yuan.

After price adjustment, the guidance prices of ES series, NX series, UX series and LS series are 29.00-483000 yuan, 30.40-542000 yuan, 28.30-386000 yuan and 81.10-1.172 million yuan respectively.

The main reason for the price adjustment is to upgrade multimedia systems and security systems. According to the different configuration of the model, upgrade the intelligent safety system LSS+, increase the intelligent radar with auxiliary braking function ICS, upgrade the multimedia system (equipped with G-BOOK service and Baidu CarLife).

According to some riders, because of the official price increase due to configuration adjustment, the group of riders has quarreled. Many riders are unwilling to buy it, and some think it is worth it.

A netizen who claimed to have booked the car in June and expected to pick up the car by the end of October said that he had signed a contract with the 4S store, but was unable to provide models that did not increase the price after inquiry and refused to make up for the price difference.

Another netizen said that he had signed a deposit on the contract on September 5 and suddenly said that the price would be increased by 11000. It was too hard to buy a car. He also said that the legal approach would be taken if there was no negotiation.

In fact, take Lexus ES as an example, many dealers increase the retail price by 20,000 to 30,000 yuan on the grounds of adding project functions, that is, a price increase in disguise, and now the manufacturer increases the price after the annual change, which means that the final starting retail price of the ES car series will reach 31 to 320000 yuan.

In other aspects, as it is the year, the exterior interior power has not been changed. The Lexus ES200 is equipped with a 2.0L engine with a maximum power of 173hp and a peak torque of 208Nm. The transmission system matches the CVT transmission. ES 260is equipped with 2.5L naturally aspirated engine, maximum power 207hp, matching 8-speed manual integrated transmission; ES 300h is equipped with a hybrid system composed of 2.5L naturally aspirated engine and motor, with a combined maximum power of 218hp.

NX offers three models of 2.0L (NX 200C) / 2.0T (NX 300h) / 2.5L hybrid (NX 300h) with maximum power of 150hp, 238hp and 197hp respectively. The transmission system matches CVT continuously variable transmission, six-speed manual self-integrated transmission and E-CVT gearbox, in addition, some models also provide four-wheel drive system.

The UX is the only UX 200model with the same 2.0L+CVT powertrain as the Toyota C-HR. The 2.0L naturally aspirated engine has a maximum power of 173hp, a peak torque of 207Nm and a transmission system that matches the CVT continuously variable transmission, while the other five 260h models have a 2.0L hybrid system with a combined maximum power of 184hp.

On Sept. 6, Lexus reported last month's sales. Lexus sold 16921 vehicles in China in August, up 11.3% from January to August to 126854 vehicles, up 24.9% from a year earlier. Lexus is expected to sell more than 200000 units in China in 2019.
