The China Alliance for the Promotion of Electric vehicle charging Infrastructure released the latest domestic charging piles. As of August 2019, the total number of public and private charging piles nationwide was 1.08 million, an increase of 67.8 percent over the same period last year. Among them, there are 456000 public charging piles, an increase of 63.5% over the same period last year, and the total number of charging piles built in the car has reached 625000.

Specific to the distribution of provinces, the construction of public charging infrastructure is still relatively concentrated. The total TOP10 of public charging infrastructure in domestic provinces is Jiangsu, Beijing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Shandong, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hebei, Hubei and Tianjin, while the proportion of public charging infrastructure in these 10 provinces and cities has reached 74.7%. The main flow of electricity is buses, passenger cars account for a large proportion, sanitation logistics vehicles, taxis and other types of vehicles account for relatively small.

In addition to the high concentration, the concentration of domestic public charging infrastructure operators is also high, with a total charging capacity of about 491 million kWh in August 2019, an increase of 48 million kWh over the previous month.

As for charging operators, as of August 2019, there were eight charging piles operated by national charging operators, including Tech call, State Grid, SAIC Anyue, etc., and the number of charging piles operated by these eight operators accounted for 89.2% of the total.

In addition, the China Alliance for the Promotion of Electric vehicle charging Infrastructure also released the overall situation of power exchange facilities for the first time. As of August 2019, the total number of power stations in China was 245, of which Beijing took the lead with 107, followed by Guangdong Province with 47, Fujian Province and Hunan Province ranked third and fourth with 17 and 10 respectively, and the number of power stations in other provinces was only in the single digits.

From the point of view of operators, at present, there are mainly two power exchange operators in China, of which 160 operate and 85 operate.

It is understood that from January to August 2019, the charging infrastructure increased by 272000 units, an increase of 37.4 percent over the same period last year, and the public charging infrastructure and charging facilities equipped with cars grew steadily.

From January to August this year, domestic sales of new energy vehicles totaled 793000, an increase of 32.0% over the same period last year. Of this total, 629000 were pure electric vehicles, up 40.8 percent from the same period last year, and 163000 plug-in hybrid vehicles, up 5.7 percent from the same period last year. With the improvement of the sales of new energy vehicles, the number of charging piles also needs to be promoted rapidly.
