AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/10 Report--
GAC GROUP released production and sales of KuaiBao in February, and the group's overall sales were 102300, down 11 per cent from a year earlier to 312000 in January-February, down 4 per cent from a year earlier. It is worth noting that GAC GROUP only Honda and Toyota to achieve sales growth, Chuanqi, Mitsubishi, Fick declined across the board.
GAC Toyota has seen a big increase compared with last year, with sales from a low base of 27206 vehicles in February and cumulative sales of 106906 vehicles from January to February, up 56.77 per cent from a year earlier. Thanks to the relatively stable market performance of Leiling, Camry and Hanlanda. In terms of new cars, Guangzhou Auto Toyota plans to launch a replacement Leiling and a new electric car this year, while the Guangzhou car version of the RAV4 will not be officially launched until next year.
Guangzhou Auto Honda is basically stable, while there is a relatively small growth. In February, manufacturers released sales figures of 42062 vehicles, an increase of 6.4% over the same period last year. Accord sold more than 10, 000 units and Lingpai 7511 models. From January to February, Guangzhou Auto Honda's sales rose 3.3% to 115700 vehicles.
Guangzhou Auto Honda has three new cars planned for 2019: the new colorful Smart model with 1.5T turbocharged engine, the new Odyssey model with 2.0L hybrid assembly, and the final finale model is a new medium-sized SUV.
By contrast, the development of the other two joint ventures, Guangzhou Auto Fick and Guangzhou Auto Mitsubishi, is not very smooth, with a big decline in sales.
Among them, GAC Fick sold only 14000 units from January to February, down 34.5%. It has been the 14th consecutive month that GAC Fick's sales have declined, and so far it has not stopped falling. Fiat brand cars have been suspended due to poor sales, and the Jeep brand has launched four SUV models in China, namely, Freeman, Compass, Free Light and Big Commander, basically covering the mainstream price range of 13-300000. In fact, Guangzhou Auto Fick's marketing is OK, after all, known as "middle class" positioning, but the lack of product power is difficult to make up, quality and word-of-mouth in front of competitors are not excellent.
GAC-Mitsubishi still has fewer models at present, and the slow upgrading of models has caused sales to decline one after another, falling by 25.6% to 19000 units from January to February.
GAC MOTOR, an independent brand, was the worst-hit brand under GAC GROUP, with sales of 54000 units in the first two months, down 43 per cent from a year earlier. Now the Chinese market is in a relatively depressed state, and there has been a big decline in the once-raging SUV market. GAC MOTOR has not made great progress in the car field, further aggravating the downward trend. Sales in China's auto market have fallen in the past year, while the decline of independent brands is more serious.
In addition, it can be seen that Guangzhou Automobile BYD New Energy bus has stopped production since this year, and the earlier official announcement also confirmed the news that employees will be on holiday until June. As for the specific reason, officials say it is due to the off-season of production.
GAC GROUP's profits mainly come from Toyota and Honda, while other joint venture brands and independent brands temporarily collapsed in the cold winter of the car market.
