In the past two years, inexplicably set off the trend of sedan SUV, not only independent brands Geely, Changan, or luxury brand Porsche, are actively releasing their own sedan SUV. Recently, FAW-Volkswagen sedan SUV- Tanyue Coupe officially offline, it is reported that the car may also be named Tanyue X, but the final name has yet to be officially announced. Prior to this, the new car has been officially offline in the Tianjin factory and is expected to be put on the market this year.

In appearance, the design of the front face of the new car is basically the same as that of Tan Yue, but the details are still slightly different. The intake grille is decorated in a wavy format, and the shape of the headlamp is not much different from that of the mountain exploration, a zigzag daytime traffic lamp. The lower encirclement adopts a penetrating style.

The side of the car adopts the slip-back style, and the waistline adopts the same undulating style as Tan Yue, which is more smooth than the ordinary model, and the double five-spoke aluminum alloy wheels are selected below. With a larger spoiler at the rear, the taillight is longer, and the full LED light source is also used. the bottom of the car is not very much the same as the mountain exploration, using a hidden layout with a double-sided single exit.

Qanyue Coupe is based on MQB A2 platform. Compared with Tanyue, the length and height of the new car are adjusted, the length, width and height are 4586 × 1860 × 1635mm, and the wheelbase is 2731mm. In terms of power, Tanyue Coupe is expected to be equipped with the same 2.0T (high / low power) engine as Tanyue, with maximum power of 162kW and 137kW respectively, peak torque of 350Nm and 320Nm respectively, transmission system matching 7-speed wet double clutch gearbox, and high-end models equipped with 4motor four-wheel drive system.

The concept car of the sedan SUV has been unveiled at this year's Shanghai Auto Show, and its official map has been released. Although it is a concept car, its shape is basically close to mass production. In addition, the Volkswagen sedan concept car has a slightly shorter body height and the same wheelbase than Tanyue.

Data show that FAW-Volkswagen sold 165800 vehicles in August, down 1.8 per cent from a year earlier. FAW-Volkswagen is proud in the SUV rankings with two Gemini models with monthly sales of more than 10,000 yuan.
