AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)09/16 Report--

This year may be an "extraordinary" year for Mercedes-Benz, following the exposure of the Xi'an Mercedes-Benz female incident, there have been various quality problems and rights protection incidents. Recently, there is another video of Mercedes-Benz owners' rights protection on the Internet, and the car body is covered with banners.

From the video, the incident occurred in Shenzhen Daxing Mercedes-Benz 4S store, a black Mercedes-Benz C260 L car parked in front of the 4S store, the crowd also stood around. The car is covered with all kinds of banners, the content is: the new car engine failure occurred in more than 20 days, not only the vehicle will stop sharply while driving, but also did not respond to the accelerator, which has endangered the personal safety of the car owner, but found a 4S store but all kinds of evasion, has been stalling for time.

In addition, it can be seen from the video that a lot of people dressed in black suddenly gathered around the vehicle and pulled each other with a suspected car owner. In the video, the photographer said: the shop also hit people. Subsequently, in the video, the police have intervened at the scene to mediate and stop.

Although it is not known when the video took place, there has been no official response.

Today's Mercedes-Benz incident has been frequently exposed. On September 11, the Bank of China Insurance Regulatory Commission issued an administrative penalty notice to Mercedes-Benz. Mercedes-Benz Financial was fined 800000 yuan by Beijing Banking and Insurance Regulatory Bureau because of "serious deficiencies in the management of outsourcing activities."

Although the fine has little impact on Mercedes-Benz, this series of events have also led to a period of low sales. Mercedes-Benz deliveries in China remained at a high of 62000 vehicles in March, up 5.9 per cent from a year earlier, according to the data. After the "hood advocacy" incident began to ferment in mid-April, Mercedes-Benz sales began to plummet.

Mercedes-Benz sales rose only 0.8 per cent year-on-year to 58000 in April, 56000 in May, down 0.9 per cent and 57000 in June, up 0.1 per cent. It was not until July that it reached 59000, an increase of 13% was back on track; in August, 60, 000, maintained a high growth rate of 12.8%.

From January to August, Mercedes-Benz delivered a total of 464000 new cars, up 4.1 per cent from a year earlier. What is obvious is that from the sales curve, the incident of female car owners' rights protection has hurt Mercedes-Benz's overall sales performance in China to some extent.

In addition to sales, the incident is also about the honor that Mercedes-Benz is likely to lose its top spot in luxury car sales in China over the past two years.

BMW's cumulative sales in the first eight months of this year reached 463000, just one step behind Mercedes-Benz's 464000. But the year-on-year growth rate of BMW is as high as 15.7%. According to this trend, BMW will beat Mercedes-Benz to the top of luxury car sales in China when sales are released as soon as September.
