The suspension of the sale of three products directly led to a decline in sales of Changan new energy vehicles. According to the official data released by Changan Automobile, Changan Automobile sold a total of 1449 new energy vehicles in August, an increase of 83.9% from January to August. Changan New Energy sold a total of 28083 vehicles. At the beginning of this year, Changan New Energy set an annual sales target of 76500 vehicles, down 118700 from the same period in 2018, but according to the latest data, only 36.6% of the annual sales target has been achieved, and sales are not optimistic.

In addition, at the 2019 Zhi Expo, Changan Automobile launched a fuel cell vehicle, the fuel cell version of CS75, with a range of 550km, which has made supplementary adjustments to the strategy of Changan new energy vehicles and further improved the product line of new energy vehicles.

According to the "Shangri-La" plan previously released by Changan Automobile, Changan will invest 100 billion yuan in the field of new energy vehicles, complete the construction of three new energy dedicated platforms in 2020, sell 350000 new energy models in 2020, and sell 1.16 million new energy models by 2025, and completely stop the sale of traditional fuel vehicles, realizing 21 new electric vehicle products and 12 plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Judging from the current development situation, relying solely on electric vehicles, Changan may not be able to complete this grand plan on time, and Changan Automobile may need more technical routes to expand the new energy vehicle market as much as possible.
