The 60 series are all born on the Volvo SPA platform, so the styling design is somewhat similar to the 90 series on the same platform. The new generation S60L adopts family design style, and the iconic straight waterfall front grille and the front LED headlights of Raytheon Hammer all appear on the new car, which is younger than the previous generation as a whole.

On the tail side, the taillight group of the new S60 adopts the C shape, and the license plate installation position is moved to the back-up compartment cover between the two taillights, which is obviously different from the S90. The new car is also equipped with two-sided chrome-plated exhaust decoration to enhance the sense of movement.

In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new Volvo S60 made in China are 4761/1850/1437mm and wheelbase 2872mm respectively, without lengthening. According to the domestic market environment, Volvo does not rule out the introduction of long-wheelbase models in the later stage to meet consumer demand.

Volvo's family interiors are also familiar, and the new models basically follow the same layout, which is also Volvo's main minimalist style.

In terms of power, the new S60 offers T3 (1.5T), T4/T5 (2.0T low high power) and T8 plug-in hybrid power, with a maximum power of 163hp (T3), 190hp (T4), 250hp (T5) and 303hp (T8 plug-in hybrid engine power). In the part of transmission system, the new car matches the self-integrated transmission of Aixin 8 speed hand.

The pricing of the new S60 is a big problem. Because the cash S60L is in the last generation of the product, the market discount is huge, the guidance price is 24.98-333900 yuan, the discount range can reach 6-100000 yuan, and the naked car price is less than 200000, so it has a great impact on the price of brand-new models on the market.

In addition, Volvo adopts the sales model of "price for volume". The domestic S90 starts at 372900, with dealers offering a discount of nearly 100000 yuan, which is doomed to a large overlap between the price of the new S60 and the terminal S90. it means that the price of the new S60 will be reduced quickly in a very short period of time.

According to the data, Volvo sold 14212 cars in China in August, up 24.8% from a year earlier. From January to August this year, Volvo sold 94592 new cars, an increase of 14% over the same period last year, still ranking third in second-tier luxury brands.

Volvo is in an awkward position under the price war. The new S60 will be its main volume model, and the final pricing is crucial, which will be announced by the end of the year.
