BMW's first pure electric SUV iX3 in 2020 will be put into production in brilliance and exported to major global markets, and this is just the beginning of BMW's domestic electric cars. According to brilliance BMW officials, after the iX3, brilliance BMW will also put into production 3 series long wheelbase pure electric vehicles, 5 series long wheelbase pure electric vehicles, and medium and high grade electric SUV (expected X5 class).

According to the product plan of brilliance BMW's new Tiexi factory, the new BMW BMW 3-Series long wheelbase pure electric vehicle (G28EV) and the next generation (G28BEV NM) are expected to start production in 2022. Brilliance BMW has prepared for the production of the 3-series long-wheelbase pure electric, and the G28 power battery pack will be put into production in May 2022, which is the same as the production date of the 3-series long-wheelbase pure electric. In terms of power technology, the 3-series long-wheelbase pure electric will use the fifth generation eDrive power technology, and the new car's mileage is expected to exceed 500km.

IX3, the first pure electric SUV under the BMW brand, will start production at the Laodadong plant in Shenyang in 2020 and move to the new Tiexi plant after 2022. The BMW ix3 concept car was released as early as 2018, and the new car is currently in the stage of engineering testing. In terms of range, the mileage of the BMW iX3 NEDC exceeds that of the 400km.

The 5-series long wheelbase pure electric car is based on the current 5-series car, using the fifth generation eDrive technology and the "front 1 and rear 2" motor layout, the highest power of the three motors reaches 530kW, and 0-100km/h acceleration can be achieved in 3 seconds. According to brilliance BMW's plan, the 5-series pure electric is expected to be introduced into the new Dadong plant in 2022.

According to the EIA data of BMW brilliance, its annual planned production capacity of electric vehicles will exceed 150000 (5-series long-wheelbase pure electric / medium and high-grade electric SUV total 54170 / year, 3-series pure electric + iX3 total 100000 / year).
