Recall models:

A total of 103 imported AMG GT vehicles manufactured between June 9, 2015 and April 21, 2016 will be recalled from November 22, 2019.

Reasons for recall:

For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the use of silicon protective paper by the supplier in the production process, there is residue on the bonding surface of the carbon fiber drive shaft and the flange, and the bonding of the carbon fiber drive shaft and the flange does not meet the requirements. In the process of vehicle driving, the carbon fiber drive shaft may lose connection with the flange, which will cause noise or damage to the gearbox. In extreme cases, it will cause the loss of power while the vehicle is driving, increase the risk of vehicle collision, and there are hidden dangers.

Solution:

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile sales Co., Ltd. will replace qualified carbon fiber transmission shaft assemblies for vehicles within the recall range free of charge to eliminate safety risks.
