The mention of Honda Siming may seem strange to many people. However, after years of silence, Higashimoto launched a new model, the Siming X-NV. The new car, based on Dongfeng Honda XR-V, has an all-electric drive system and has a mileage of up to 401km, which could go on sale within this year.

The appearance of the new car is similar to the design of the X-NV concept car unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, with a high degree of reduction. Because it is based on Higashimoto XR-V, the whole is similar, but the front foggy light area is designed with multiple light groups, which is the biggest difference between the front face and the concept car.

The side part, the new car side door handle position, is still on the C column, the side front fender adds the "ev" sign and turn signal. In the rear part, the through-type led lamp group is used, and the smoke taillight is added, which is relatively rare in the same price model. At the same time, a chrome strip is added to the top of the license plate frame. The length, width and height are 4280/1772/1625mm and the wheelbase is 2610mm.

In terms of interior decoration, the overall shape of the central console of the new car is consistent with that of the XR-V, while the air-conditioning control panel is replaced with a push-button design, and the central control gear changes part of it into an electronic grip and adds blue elements.

In terms of power, the car will be equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 163hp, a maximum torque of 280Nm, a ternary lithium-ion battery with 53.6kWh capacity, a NEDC mileage of 401km and a maximum speed of 140km.

In the period of eight generations of Civic, Dongfeng Honda relied on Honda Siming, which is very similar to Civic. To lower costs and prices, in China to get a good reputation and sales. However, Siming does launch a new model as an electric car. In the face of today's fierce competitive market, Siming does not know whether he can have the same achievements as he did in that year.
