It is understood that the 4S store did this because the previous engine was short of water due to high temperature, and the cylinder block had been damaged and deformed. As for why the engine of the new car is hot and short of water, Manager Xu, the after-sales manager of the 4S store, explained that the coolant pipe of the new car was not installed when it left the factory, resulting in leakage, so the lack of coolant led to the high temperature and water shortage of the engine.
Manager Xu also said that after the replacement of the new engine and coolant tube, the previous failures and problems of the new car will be completely solved, and in order to compensate Mr. Jiang, the 4S store can extend the guarantee for the car for one year. Mr. Jiang was not satisfied with the plan of the 4S store. He asked to change the car, but it was rejected.
4S said that according to the three-pack regulations of the car, only when the engine is replaced twice has not solved the problem of failure, can it meet the conditions for the return and replacement of the car.
The lawyer said that the private replacement of the engine in the 4S store first infringed on consumers' right to know. In addition, compared with the three-pack regulations of cars, Mr. Jiang did not meet the conditions for changing cars. But the car three-pack rule also requires sellers to deliver qualified automobile products to consumers.
