AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)09/25 Report--

According to the internal letter issued by Shen Hui, CEO of Weima Automobile, Wang Xin, chief marketing officer of Youxin Used Car, officially joined Weima Automobile Company on September 25 as chief growth officer of Weima Automobile, mainly responsible for large market and public relations business, reporting directly to Shen Hui.

It is understood that Wang Xin has many years of working experience in the automotive industry. Before joining Youxin Used Car, Wang Xin served as Uber China Senior Marketing Director, responsible for Uber's work in the Chinese market. From 2016 to 2019, Wang Xin served as CMO of Youxin Group.

In the current downward trend of the automobile market and the "pincer attack" of traditional automobile enterprises, the new force of automobile building is in an extremely difficult situation. For the "veteran" of strategic consulting investment consultant and Uber China senior marketing director to join Weimar Automobile this time, the task on his shoulders is not easy.

According to the latest data, from January to August this year, the cumulative delivery volume of Weima reached 11312 EX5 models; in August this year, Weima EX5 delivered a total of 2175 vehicles, surpassing NIO Automobile and Xiaopeng, ranking first in the sales list of new forces for car building, with market share rising to 47.2%.

At the beginning of the year, WeiMa Automobile proposed an annual sales target of 100,000 vehicles in 2019, but from the current sales volume, only more than one-tenth of the annual sales target has been achieved, and the sales volume is far below expectations.

For the new forces of car building, the company has not been able to "hematopoietic", and now the "sales crisis" has become a difficult problem for the new forces of car building.

On September 23, a Weima EX5 spontaneously ignited in Wenzhou, raising concerns again about the safety hazards of new power products and electric vehicles. Although WeiMa car said spontaneous combustion and battery no light, but from the previous Wei Lai car, Tesla and other spontaneous combustion events, the safety of electric vehicles has always been the pain point of electric vehicle enterprises.

In addition to the safety of electric vehicles, funding is also a problem that new forces continue to solve. In March this year, WeiMa Automobile has just completed Series C financing with a total amount of RMB 3 billion yuan. Up to now, the accumulated financing amount of WeiMa Automobile has reached RMB 23 billion.

However, this is far from enough. For the new forces of car building, it can only solve part of the problem.

For Wang Xin, who has worked in Youxin and Uber for many years, it is still unknown whether he can promote the sales growth of Weima Automobile through product planning and marketing innovation.

In addition, in addition to Wang Xin joining Weima as the newly established chief growth officer of Weima Automobile, Weima Automobile also announced personnel changes for three other executives today. Among them, Shen Hui will concurrently serve as general manager of the sales company, senior vice president Liu Bin will serve as chief travel officer, Qi Liren will serve as chief retail officer. At the same time, Lu Bin and Qi Li both reported directly to Shen Hui.
