Great Wall Motor and Huawei have formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen to cooperate in innovative technologies such as intelligent Internet connection, intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, cloud services and travel services, according to domestic media reports.
At present, the 5G-based automatic remote driving technology jointly developed by Great Wall Motor, Huawei and China Mobile has officially passed the test in the Great Wall Automobile Xushui test yard, and the vehicle response delay can reach millisecond. In July, Great Wall signed ecological cooperation agreements with eight technology, Internet and communications companies, including Huawei, to promote vehicle intelligence, cloud services and big data business.
Great Wall has always attached importance to the research and development of key technologies such as 5G, self-driving and V2X. The research and development of its self-driving technology began in 2009, and Great Wall demonstrated its L3 self-driving technology for the first time in 2015. In early 2017, the company officially released the "i-Pilot Smart Navigation" autopilot system developed jointly by China, the United States and India. At the end of last year, the national smart car and intelligent transportation (Beijing-Hebei) demonstration zone, which covers an area of 134000 square meters, was officially put into operation.
At present, Huawei has reached cooperation with a number of head mainframe manufacturers, including Guangzhou Automobile, SAIC, Citroen, FAW, Great Wall, Dongfeng, Weimar and so on. In addition, smart cars could be one of the first landing scenarios for Huawei's Hongmeng system.
Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei consumer business, once said: "Hongmeng operating system is the world's first micro-kernel panoramic distributed operating system, which can be adapted to any terminal (cars, watches, mobile phones, etc.) in the future." According to the Guojun computer team, Hongmeng's first experience is likely to be in a smart car.
