Last December, Mr. Fan bought a XC90 SUV at a Zhongwo 4S store in Hangzhou, at a total cost of 550000 yuan. But since May this year, the vehicle dashboard began to indicate fault lights one after another. Seeing this situation, Mr. Fan had to send the vehicle to the 4S store for testing and maintenance.
Mr. Fan said that the first time he entered the store for maintenance, the 4S store only carried out a system upgrade for the vehicle, and the fault light disappeared. But two days later, the failure light on the vehicle dashboard came on again. In desperation, Mr. Fan had to go back to the shop for repairs.
Mr. Fan said that this time through the test, the problem was that the emission alarm light was on, and the 4S store also made the treatment of replacing the evaporation hose. I thought that through this maintenance, the vehicle would be able to completely solve the problem, but a month later, the same problem appeared again. Mr. Fan said that in order to solve this problem of faulty lights, he has repeatedly entered the store for five repairs.
For this problem, Hangzhou Zhongwo 4S store service manager said that from the current testing, it is still a problem of two evaporation tubes. Because the exhaust emission has been exceeding the standard, the failure light will always give an alarm. Although this faulty light will not affect normal driving, it will cause carbon accumulation for a long time, and even affect the annual inspection of the vehicle.
Faced with how to solve this problem, the 4S store said that the evaporation tube of the vehicle still needs to be replaced. At the same time, the 4S store also admitted that it was a product quality problem that led to the failure.
But at present, Mr. Fan has completely lost confidence in the maintenance plan and hopes that the store will be able to change cars. According to the automobile three-guarantee law, the vehicle can be returned and replaced as long as there are more than five repairs in the same place.
However, the service manager of the 4S store does not think so, saying that he is currently carrying out three repairs, hoping to help car owners solve the problem completely in the last two times, because the vehicle entering the store before is to eliminate the trouble code, which they think is no maintenance action, so it does not belong to a maintenance situation.
Mr. Fan believes that before sending the vehicle to the 4S store, the vehicle shows the fault light, but when it comes out, the fault light is not lit, so it belongs to the maintenance situation.
As a result of the dispute between the two sides, Mr. Fan has reflected this situation to the Zhejiang Consumer Protection Commission, and will organize negotiations between the two sides later.
