PICC Research's China Insurance Automobile Safety Index (C-IASI) recently released new test results for the closely watched Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Leiling. It is reported that the car was voluntarily applied for testing by Guangzhou Auto Toyota. During the 25% offset collision test on the front of Toyota Leiling, the bottom reinforcement beam was hit and deformed. Crashworthiness and maintenance economy index obtained M (general).

Among all the collision test items, the car body safety is mainly measured by the "occupant safety index", including four tests: front 25% offset collision, side collision, roof strength and seat / headrest (i.e. whiplash injury test).

In 15km/h frontal impact, the score of structural crashworthiness is 5.5 (out of 6), and the score of maintenance economy is 12 (out of 24). In 15km/h, the rear-end collision score is 13.5 (full score is 30), the structural crashworthiness is 2.5 (full score is 6), the maintenance economy score is 11 (full score is 24), and the weighted score is 16.17.

The main points deduction occurred in the rear of the car, in which the rear crashworthiness score was only 2.5 when the full score was 6. In the end, Toyota Liling was rated as M (average) in the project; the rest of the 64km/h 's frontal 25% offset collision, 50km/h side collision, roof strength, seat / headrest and pedestrian protection rating were all G (excellent).

In the 25% offset collision on the front of the 64km/h, Lei Ling's overall rating is G excellent. The video shows that the front of the car almost completely collapses and the left door is seriously deformed, but there is no large bend in the A-column, but it can be seen that the bottom edge reinforcement beam is distorted. Due to the passive safety protection, the dummy deducts less points, and each point score is G excellent.

In the side collision, the distance between the B-pillar and the center line of the driver's seat is 17.5cm. Similarly, due to the rich passive safety protection, the test points of the front and back dummies are G excellent.

In the top pressure test, Lei Ling was rated as G excellent, in which the roof load-to-mass ratio reached 5.66.
