In November 2016, Minan Automobile was approved for the construction project of pure electric passenger vehicles; in February 2017, the construction of Minan Automobile Manufacturing Plant started; in November 2018, the qualification assessment period for the production of Minan New Energy vehicles was officially completed; in March 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a list of new vehicle production enterprises that have access to change information, including Minan Automobile, which is marked "New Pure Electric passenger vehicle Manufacturing Enterprise".

On April 8, when the "Road Motor vehicle production Enterprises and products (batch 318)" was officially released, Minan Automobile was not among them. It was not until May 10, when the "Road Motor vehicle Manufacturing Enterprises and products (batch 319)" was released that Minan Automobile was among them.

However, since its inception, Minan has developed only one model codenamed "A2001", which was launched in July 2018 and completed testing in January 2019. The car will go on sale at the end of 2019 or early 2020, but there is no news.

At present, although the construction of Minan Automobile factory has been completed, and the production line and equipment have also been debugged, the mold of A2001 has not been developed, and a lot of money is needed to develop the mold. At that time, Minan suspended mold development on the grounds of product optimization. The model cannot be produced because the mold has stopped development.

In addition, capital is also the key to the development of Minan Automobile, most of which comes from the parent company Minshi Group. At the beginning of the year, Minan got into financial difficulties and began to lay off staff.

At the end of 2018, Minan Motor laid off 5% of its staff in the last place, laid off again in the first half of 2019, and recently laid off staff again. After several layoffs, Minan Automobile has dropped to more than 300 people from 800 in November 2018, of which only 100 are left in research and development.

According to Article 23 of the State regulations on the Management of New Energy vehicle production Enterprises and Product access, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology gives special publicity to new energy vehicle manufacturing enterprises that have stopped producing new energy vehicle products for 12 months or more. At the same time, it is stipulated that the sales of newly approved new energy vehicle manufacturers shall not be less than 4000 vehicles for two consecutive years.

Up to now, the absolute mold of the first model of Minan Automobile has not been fully developed, coupled with the process of vehicle trial production, test verification and market expansion, it can be very difficult to achieve the above goals within a specified time.

From the establishment to the establishment of the factory, and then to the first model off the line, Minan Automobile began to decline, whether it is funding or research and development are very big problems, the future is worried.
