AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)09/30 Report--

Recently, there are media reports that the German Minister of economy and Energy Peter. Altmeier and German Transport Minister Andreas. Schuer and other German politicians said they would promote the development of hydrogen energy in cars and transportation, while Volkswagen group CEO Dis said hydrogen cars "have no future."

Dees believes that hydrogen energy is good, but hydrogen batteries are expensive, and making hydrogen-powered cars is not more environmentally friendly than pure electric cars, at least for now. Because the production of hydrogen requires a lot of electricity, and this electricity will drive up the cost of the whole vehicle; from the popularization point of view, because the cost of hydrogen-powered vehicles is high, it is not conducive to promotion, by contrast, electric cars are the current environmentally friendly way of travel, and the price of electric vehicles is more acceptable to consumers. However, the German government has not given up on the promotion of new energy vehicles other than electric vehicles.

It is understood that most of Volkswagen's competitors are involved in the research and development of hydrogen-powered vehicles. Toyota launched the future of fuel cell vehicles as early as 2016, while Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and BMW are also developing hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Volkswagen is more stubborn about this. A few days ago, at the German Automobile Industry Association, the car company led by BMW gave the German government support on other new energy technologies. In response to the above remarks, Volkswagen CEO Dis insists on developing pure electric vehicles.

Despite Deiss's firm stance, Audi, a luxury brand owned by Volkswagen, plans to launch a hydrogen battery prototype by the end of this year and mass production is expected in 2021. Audi said that in the next decade, while developing pure electricity and plug-in, it will also develop hydrogen-powered vehicles at the same time.

Hydrogen vehicles, as the name implies, are cars that use hydrogen as energy to convert the chemical energy produced by hydrogen reaction into mechanical energy to drive the vehicle. The biggest advantage of using hydrogen as energy is that it reacts with oxygen in the air and only produces water vapor, which effectively reduces the air pollution caused by traditional gasoline vehicles.

A few days ago, South Korea reported that 10 hydrogen-powered taxis in Seoul were put into operation. It is understood that each hydrogen-powered vehicle can be recharged for 5-6 minutes with a range of up to 600km. Powered by hydrogen fuel, the residue from this kind of taxi is water, which will not pollute the air, but can purify the air.

As soon as the news came out, it went on a hot search. after all, from Pang Qing's water-hydrogen engine to the operation of hydrogen-powered taxis in Seoul, it is no small progress in the field of hydrogen energy.

For domestic, hydrogen-fueled vehicles have more advantages than pure electric vehicles, but there are many difficulties in full implementation at this stage. For example, the technology of hydrogen fuel is more complex, more expensive and more difficult to popularize. At the same time, hydrogen fuel cells have to be very strictly sealed, and once leaked, the consequences will be unimaginable. So for the current situation in China, let it be in the stage of technology development, we still need to explore slowly!
