AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/04 Report--

Recently, some media have obtained a set of domestic undisguised spy photos of the G90. In terms of appearance, the domestic version is basically the same as the overseas version, and the body size is close to that of Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The new car is expected to be officially put on sale in 2020.

In appearance, the overall outline of the new Gaines G90 continues the old model, but a new design is adopted in the front and rear, with the front face styling atmosphere, in which the pentagonal large-size mesh intake grille has a visual impact. The side lines of the car body are relatively straight, with more spoke-shaped wheels, which makes the whole car appear more stable, and the rear of the car adopts the popular through-type taillight group. In addition, the Genesis G90 offers nine exterior colors, including the new Porto red and Gold Coast Silver, as well as two-tone body. The length, width and height of the new car are 5207 × 1915 × 1495mm respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 3160mm, which is wider than that of Mercedes-Benz S-class, and the wheelbase is only 5mm.

On the interior, the G90 is basically the same as the cash, mainly optimized in details, including air conditioning vents, 12.3-inch central control screen and metal physical buttons. In addition, the interior is available in three colors, including brown, beige and black.

In terms of power, the overseas version of the G90 G90 offers 3.8L V6 naturally aspirated, 3.3T twin turbocharged and 5.0L V8 naturally aspirated engines with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is expected that only 3.3T twin turbocharged versions will be available for imported models. The price of the new car is expected to be around 900000, the standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

It is understood that Hyundai established Gaines as a luxury brand in 2015 and sold it in South Korea, the United States, China and Europe, but for some reason, Gaines eventually withdrew from the Chinese market.

Although Gaines withdrew from the Chinese market, Hyundai does not seem to be reconciled. It is understood that in order to restart the independent sales model of Gaines, Hyundai has set up a sales company in China, the full name is "Genisse Automobile sales Co., Ltd.". According to Qixinbao, the company is controlled by Hyundai Motor Company and was established on October 25, 2018 with a registered capital of US $50 million.

At the Hyundai Communication Conference in Beijing on July 31 this year, Wen Chengkun, deputy general manager of Beijing Hyundai, said that Hyundai China would reopen the business of imported cars. In order to promote the brand promotion of Beijing Hyundai, Gaines and N-series models will be introduced into the Chinese market.

By 2020, Gaines will expand six models, including three sedans, two SUV and one coupe. Hope to raise the brand height to recognize that Lexus and Infiniti, like Infiniti, become a world-recognized luxury brand.

Wen Chengkun said that with the emergence of more and more competitive products, Beijing Hyundai is expected to return to the era of annual sales of millions in 2020 or 2021.
