AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/05 Report--

Volvo returned to second place in the complaint list in September, but did not seem to have affected its sales in China. A few days ago, Volvo released its September sales report, with global cumulative sales reaching 64536 vehicles, an increase of 6.5% over the same period last year. Among them, cumulative sales in China reached 14920, up 13% from the same period last year.

Sales figures released by Volvo in recent months show continued growth, with global sales of 507704 vehicles from January to September, up 7.4 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, sales in China reached 109512 from January to September, up 13.8% over the same period, making it Volvo's second largest sales market.

This sales volume is inseparable from the continued hot sales of the XC60 and S90 models, and contributes to its well-deserved pillar model. Even if XC60 returned to second place on the complaint list in September because of complaints, it didn't suffer much in terms of sales.

According to the complaints of car owners, the main reason is the problem of vehicle resonance, such as pressing eardrum, earache, head bang and so on, which affect the driving experience. According to feedback from car owners, Volvo manufacturers gave the so-called "customer perception improvement plan" in April, but the solution was not obvious. In addition to "upgrading and improving in accordance with the relevant program", Volvo manufacturers also informed customers that the vehicle belongs to the normal range of vibration and there is no need to worry about vehicle safety and quality.

Judging from other Volvo markets, Volvo has achieved steady growth in both Europe and the US. In Europe, Volvo sold 31055 vehicles in September, up 3.8 per cent from a year earlier. In the January-September period, Volvo sold 247610 vehicles, up 6 per cent from a year earlier. In the us market, Volvo sold 9238 vehicles in September, up 7 per cent year-on-year and 77432 from January to September, up 4.7 per cent from a year earlier.

In addition, the domestic real car picture of the new Volvo S60 has also been exposed, and the new car will go on sale in December. Although the old S60 has been slightly updated since it was launched in 2010, it is a very old model. In this era of increasingly powerful competitors, the S60 in cash is no longer competitive, even if the discount is more than 100000. Less than 2000 cars are sold every month.

Compared with the "cold" trend in the global car market, it is not easy for Volvo to show a contrarian performance. Of course, thanks to the outstanding performance of the Chinese market, the XC60 is still Volvo's best-selling model in the global market.
