Torsten Muller-Otvos, chief executive of Rolls-Royce, said in a statement: "although Caban has worked at Rolls-Royce for a short time, we thank him for his contribution during his tenure. Joseph Caban, 46, became famous during his time at Volkswagen, where he created a number of classic models. After graduating from the Royal School of Design in London, Caban began his career at Volkswagen in 1999, working on the design of the $1.1 million Bugatti supercar, and has since worked in the Volkswagen Group. It is worth mentioning that Giles Taylor, former Rolls-Royce Design Director, joined FAW in September 2018 as vice president and chief creative officer of global design, responsible for the styling creativity and design experience of Red Flag and FAW brands in China. During his eight years at Rolls-Royce, Taylor led the design of important models such as Phantom, Obsidian, Phantom, and Rolls-Royce's first SUV, the Cullinan.
