SAIC GM Wuling officially announced that the Wuling Hongguang Plus will go on sale on Oct. 16, with an optional 7up eight-seat model, a 1.5T engine with 147hp power and a 6MT gearbox, with a front and rear drive layout.

With the MPV market not as expected, Wuling Hongguang is not as popular as it used to be, but it is still the top seller in this field. The exterior design of the new car is more square, and when netizens see the interior, they can't help laughing.

"Wuling Hongguang" is known as the magic car in the Chinese market, which is cheap, practical, easy to worry and has a large quantity. At present, it has launched four series, namely S3, S, S1 and Classic S. Wuling Hongguang Plus will be the fifth largest series of models of the family.

Wuling Hongguang Plus pays more attention to appearance design, and the overall square shape appears to be wider, with a thick front and vertical rear, which looks tough. Because of its positioning, Wuling Hongguang Plus still has that sense of cheapness.

In terms of transmission system, the new car is replaced with a six-speed manual transmission.

When people mention Wuling Hongguang, they often call it the title of autumn famous mountain god car and old driver, which is not only a joke, but also an endorsement of Wuling Hongguang. Because of its low price, extensive use and large market ownership, it is often called a magic car.

Wuling Hongguang sold 476000 vehicles in 2018 and 220000 from January to August 2019. The sales data are declining, mainly related to the shrinking domestic MPV market. Data show that domestic MPV sales fell 23% from January to August compared with the same period last year, far exceeding the decline in the overall market.

The launch of the new car will enable Wuling Hongguang car department to have some younger and fashionable elements and expand its sales path. However, this large area of plastic panel is more awkward, perhaps the user later installed it.
