I learned from Changan Automobile's official website that Changan Automobile announced its latest production and sales in September, KuaiBao. Data show that Changan Automobile's production and sales in September were 163053 and 159848, respectively, down 15.32% and 7.99% from January to September. Changan Automobile's cumulative production and sales were 1232793 and 1225879 respectively, down 21.06% and 23.59% respectively from the same period last year. Among them, Changan New Energy vehicles sold 965 vehicles in September, with a cumulative sales of 29048 vehicles from January to September.

In terms of independent brands, Changan brand sold 74799 vehicles in September, down 5% from the same period last year. Ting accumulated sales of 579979 vehicles from January to September, down 19% from the same period last year.

Changan CS75 is the main sales force of the Changan brand, with sales of 20190 vehicles in September, up 67.2% from the previous month and 45.8% year-on-year. When the CS75 Plus went on sale in September, sales reached 11729 when new cars were pre-sold, and sales of old models were also stimulated after the launch of new cars. In addition, Changan CS35 sales reached 10400, Changan Yiyou and Changan CS55 sales were 10167 and 8634 respectively.

In terms of joint venture brands, Changan Ford sold 20905 vehicles in September, down 36.69% from January to September, down 58.22% from January to September. Changan Mazda sold 12829 vehicles in September, down 17.47 per cent from a year earlier. Cumulative sales from January to September were 95845, down 25.4 per cent from a year earlier.

It can be seen that Changan Ford is still the brand with the largest decline. In the past three years, due to the weakness of new cars, Changan Ford's sales began to decline in 2017, with sales of 812000 in 2017, down 14% from the same period last year; and 378000 vehicles in 2018, down 54% from the same period last year. As of last month, Changan Ford's downward trend still did not improve.

It is worth noting that Changan Ford's September sales exceeded 20,000 vehicles for the first time this year, down 36.7% from a year earlier, but up 41.6% from August.

Although sales continue to decline, Changan also has good news. Hefei Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Changan Automobile, received 300 million yuan in subsidies for the research and development of new models in Hefei High-tech Industrial Development Zone, as well as 121 million yuan in fixed asset investment subsidies, according to a notice issued by Changan Automobile on September 29th. a total of 421 million yuan a month.

Data show that Hefei Changan is one of the production bases of Changan brand passenger cars, mainly producing Changan CS75 PLUS, CS15 series, Yitou DT and other products. It is worth noting that on June 28 this year, Hefei Changan also received 300 million yuan in subsidies for the research and development of new models in the Hefei High-tech Industrial Development Zone. As a result, Hefei Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. alone received a financial subsidy of 720 million yuan. In September this year, the sales of Hefei Changan independent brand increased by 88.33% year on year in September, showing a pick-up trend.
