Recently, Haima announced its cumulative sales in January 2019. According to statistics, the cumulative sales of Haima in January this year were 1327, down 87.45% from the same period last year.

In terms of models, Haima Motor has existing passenger car, MPV and SUV production lines, of which Fumei, the main passenger model under Haima, sold only 201 units, down 93.16% from 2937 in the same period last year; SUV, represented by Haima S5, only sold 1065 units, down 85.13% from 7160 in the same period last year; and MPV, dominated by Haima F7, achieved sales of only 61 units, down 87.18% from the same period last year.

Judging from the data, Haima has been in decline since last year. Last year, Haima lost at least 1 billion yuan without an increase in sales, and in January this year, it proved that it was going downhill with sales of 1327 vehicles. It is understood that in the same period in 2016, Haima made a profit of 230 million yuan, and has been on a downward trend ever since. Haima sold more than 140000 new cars in 2017, down 35% from the same period last year.

Some industry insiders analyze that the decline of Haima Motors is related to the weak strength and quality problems of its products. Take the seahorse S5 SUV, which the hippocampus car used to be proud of, no matter the Harvard H6 of the Great Wall or the CS75 of Changan, Geely Boyue and even the GS4 of Chuanqi have led the half of the seahorse S7, and its product quality, configuration and appearance have opened the gap with the mainstream front-line SUV. Moreover, according to the statistics of the car quality network, the satisfaction of Haima S5 owners is only 2.5 points (out of 5), and the complaints also point to the core parts such as abnormal engine noise, sudden setback, lack of power and so on.

All these factors make Haima more and more unpopular in China. If Haima makes more efforts on its products and allows consumers to buy more conscientious models, it can begin the long road of turning losses into profits.
