C-NCAP China Technology Research Center released the third batch of collision test results in 2019, a total of seven models participated in the collision test, namely SAIC Volkswagen Lang Yi, FAW Toyota Asia Dragon, SAIC Roewe MARVEL X, BYD Qin Pro EV, Beijing Hyundai Shengda, Jianghuai IEV7S and Chi Ruihu 8. It is worth mentioning that among the 7 models tested, a total of 6 models got excellent results of 5 stars, and only one model failed in the test. The specific results are as follows:

Of the seven models tested in this batch, four are fuel-fueled vehicles, namely Toyota Asian Dragon, Volkswagen Longyi, Chery Tiger 8 and Hyundai Shengda. The other three are pure electric vehicles, namely BYD Qin Pro EV, Jianghuai IEV7S and SAIC Roewe MARVEL X.

In terms of fuel vehicles, although the results of the four models lagged behind, they did not disappoint in this batch of tests, and all the four fuel models received a 5-star rating.

Among them, Beijing Hyundai Shengda has the highest score, with a comprehensive score rate of 89.6%. It has a higher score in terms of active safety and protection of members, so it can be seen that Shengda has a better performance in terms of safety to maximize the safety of passengers.

Toyota Asian dragon also performed well, with an overall score of 87.8% in this batch of tests. As Toyota's flagship car, the Asian Dragon should not be underestimated in terms of safety performance. It is a Zhixing safety system composed of 10 airbags including knees and a variety of safety technologies.

Asian Dragons have also achieved good results in American IIHS, European NCAP and other tests, and still perform well in the NCAP test in China.

Volkswagen Longyi also achieved good results, mainly thanks to active security configurations such as the AEB system, which performed well in active security and member protection, with an overall score of 89.2% in this test.

In addition, Ruihu 8, the sales manager of Chery, also joined the test. after the replacement, Ruihu 8's sales rose continuously after its listing, and exceeded 10,000 in August and September. From this point of view, the growth of sales benefited from the improvement of its productivity. in this test, the comprehensive score rate was 84.8%, although it was the lowest among fuel vehicles, but it also lived up to expectations.

A total of two of the three pure electric vehicles won 5 stars, and only one model won 2 stars.

In terms of specific models, SAIC Roewe MARVEL X is the first time that Roewe brand has joined the electric vehicle test. In this test, Roewe MARVEL X not only ranks first among electric vehicles with a comprehensive performance rate of 91.6%, but also surpasses all models of fuel vehicles, and has achieved full marks in active safety, which can be said to be excellent.

Qin Pro EV, one of BYD's dynastic brands, also received a five-star rating in this test, with a comprehensive rating of 84.5%, ranking second in electric vehicles. Prior to this, BYD Tang DM also took part in the 2018 test and got a good score of 5 stars.

However, there is one model in the electric car that seems to run in the opposite direction, that is Jianghuai IEV7S. In this test, the comprehensive score rate is 52.9%, only 2 stars, mainly 0 in active safety, coupled with active safety configuration defects lead to only 2 star score.

It is understood that C-NCAP is the earliest collision testing institution established in China, which was established in 1999 and has been operating independently for 20 years. Last year, the second domestic collision agency, C-IASI (China Insurance Research), was established, breaking the monopoly position of C-NCAP in China.

In the past, C-NCAP 's collision test results have been questioned by the outside world many times, and even jokingly called the "five-Star Wholesale Department", but after the emergence of the China Insurance Research Institute, this question has been magnified again. As an ordinary consumer, who do you trust more?
