As the major luxury brands announced their sales results in September, the specific rankings were also released.

Among second-tier luxury brands, Cadillac is still the top seller in the previous September, surpassing Lexus to regain the top spot this month, even though Lexus has soared for many months. Among the second-tier brands, only Cadillac showed a year-on-year decline, but its month-on-month growth reached 11.9% in September.

Although in terms of sales growth, Cadillac sales increased only slightly in the first three quarters, lower than the overall growth rate of luxury brands, but given Cadillac's high base last year, its sales performance this year can be said to be in line with expectations. Cadillac fell-8.3 per cent year-on-year in September, bringing cumulative sales to 18350 vehicles; cumulative sales in the first nine months were 164048, up 0.9 per cent from a year earlier.

In terms of models, CT6 became the fastest growing car model under Cadillac, with sales of 2899 in September, up 84.1% from a year earlier, with a cumulative sales of 14400 in the previous September, while XT5 sold 3795, up 3.0% from a month earlier, compared with 39000 in the previous September XT4 also did well in the competition, selling 3733 vehicles in September and 35900 in the first nine months, making it another pillar of Cadillac sales after the XT5. XT6, which has been on the market for less than three months, has sold a total of 7536 vehicles so far.

Lexus, which has experienced price increases, continued its double-digit growth in September on the basis of unabated sales, rising 10.2% year-on-year in September, with cumulative sales reaching 17736 vehicles. In the previous September, cumulative sales were 144590, up 22.8%, ranking second.

Faced with the decline in the domestic car market, Toyota President Akio Toyoda once said bluntly: "every car in Lexus is sold on its knees." However, from the current price increases and sales phenomenon, it is more like consumers are "buying cars on their knees."

This achievement is closely related to the continuous innovation of Lexus products. In September alone, many products such as the new Lexus RX and the modified Lexus ES/NX/UX/LS were on the market. In September, the cumulative sales of smart hybrid models were 48000, up 31.8% from a year earlier, while the Lexus ES was once again responsible for sales, with an average monthly sales of nearly 9000.

With its IS, GS, ES, LS series and SUV field layout of NX, RX, LX and other series of models, Lexus also basically achieve a comprehensive layout in the market.

Volvo's sales growth is also eye-catching, with price cuts in exchange for sales, thanks to continued hot sales of the XC60 and S90 models. September rose 13% from a year earlier, with cumulative sales reaching 14920 vehicles, compared with 109512 in the previous September, an increase of 13.8%.

However, one of them, XC60, has been on the complaint list for several consecutive months this year because of complaints. Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover reached 56832 in September, down 0.5% from a year earlier, including 16235 Jaguar, down 15.2%, and Land Rover 40597, up 6.9%. Since Jaguar Land Rover did not report specific sales in China, it only said that sales in China had achieved double-digit growth for three consecutive months. Of these, sales grew by 40%, 17% and 18% from July to September, respectively.

However, from the historical data, affected by the overall market, the cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover this year is much lower than last year, of which the Chery Land Rover brand has a difference of nearly 10,000 vehicles. Dongfeng Infiniti sold a total of 3224 vehicles in September, up 15% from a year earlier, selling 23015 vehicles from January to September, an increase of about 24% over the same period last year. Among them, sales of the new QX50, the main model, reached 2116 in September, up 36% from a year earlier, but the month-on-month figure dropped slightly. At present, the monthly sales of the new QX50 have gradually stabilized, and in the high-end SUV camp with a starting market guidance price of more than 300000 yuan, sales can rank among the top 10.

Compared with the new QX50, the sales of another model, Q50L, is slightly bleak as the vehicle enters the back end of the cycle, with only 1108 vehicles sold in September, down from the same period last year, even if the terminal discount is very large.

Overall, in September this year, all the second-tier luxury car companies performed well and achieved homeopathic growth. With the official arrival of the fourth quarter, car companies also ushered in the final competition field. However, for car companies, transcripts can not be based solely on sales data indicators, price for volume, will reduce the profit range of bicycles, while reducing the profits of car companies.
