Volkswagen Golf, as a classic hatchback model, the seventh generation of products currently on sale has entered a replacement cycle. now this generation of golf was launched in 2013 and has not been formally replaced so far. A few days ago, Volkswagen officially released a set of renderings of the eighth generation of golf, the front face of the new car has been redesigned and the interior has been replaced with a large one-piece screen.

According to the official rendering and design sketches, the new generation of golf will adopt a new design language, the middle net will become narrower, and the headlights on both sides will be irregularly designed, with double U-shaped LED daytime driving lights below. In addition, the grille at the bottom of the front face of the new car has been changed to a through design, with chrome strips underneath, and two raised lines have been added to the hood, making the overall vision more radical.

In terms of interior decoration, great changes have been made, using a fully integrated liquid crystal instrument and a central-controlled large-size display screen, which is slightly similar to BMW as a whole. at the same time, the new car is equipped with the latest style of three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and from the design sketch, some touch buttons are added to the left side of the dashboard. The central control has become slightly simpler, the air outlet of the through-type air conditioner does not see the physical button, and the electronic handle design is used for the first time.

In terms of power, the eighth generation Golf Standard Edition will be equipped with three options: 1.0T three-cylinder + 12V motor, 1.5T four-cylinder motor and 2.0T engine, of which 1.0T three-cylinder + 12V motor is divided into low and high power versions, and the maximum power is 70kW (95PS) and 85kW (116PS). The transmission system matches the 7-speed double clutch gearbox.

From the perspective of previous generations of golf design, the eighth generation of golf still inherits the classics, and the changes are the same as a whole. Even so, we can see that the public is adapting to the future. In addition, the new car will be unveiled on October 24 and has already been put into production at the Wolfsburg plant in Germany.

Golf, which entered the domestic market earlier (the domestic version was listed in 2009), has a good reputation and sales, but the sales of golf with cash at the end of life are also declining. In august, golf sales were 7991, down 39.71% from a year earlier, and it remains to be seen whether it will pick up with the launch of new cars.
