In fact, at the 2019 Chengdu International Auto Show held not long ago, Zhidao U7 and BAIC New Energy EU7 on the BAIC booth have hung the "BEIJING" new brand logo, which indicates that another new era for BAIC Group and BAIC New Energy brand is about to begin.

In the view of industry insiders, BAIC's launch of "BEIJING" is not a new brand "starting from scratch", but a follow-up upgrade based on the existing brand foundation and a comprehensive brand renovation.

According to data released on BAIC's new energy website, BAIC New Energy sold 10009 new cars in September, down 13 per cent from a year earlier, while it sold 98382 new cars in the first three quarters, up 20.45 per cent from the same period last year. In the face of the continuing downturn in the car market, it is even more a challenge for new energy vehicles, and BAIC will also bear more pressure.
