Honda China officially released sales figures for September, according to domestic media reports. Honda's terminal sales in China in September were 138056 vehicles, up 4 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, GAC Honda terminal sales were 65534, up 1 per cent year-on-year, while Dongfeng Honda terminal sales were 72522, up 6.8 per cent from the same period last year.

Guangzhou Auto Honda sold 65534 vehicles in September, up 1 per cent from a year earlier, and a cumulative sales of 561148 vehicles from January to September 2019, up 8.8 per cent from a year earlier.

GAC Honda's flagship Accord sold more than 20,000 cars in September, maintaining rapid growth. In addition, Ling Pai and Huanzhi also sold more than 10,000 cars a month, helping to boost GAC Honda's overall sales.

Among them, Dongfeng Honda terminal sales of 72522, an increase of 6.8% from January to September, Dongfeng Honda cumulative terminal sales of 562422, an increase of 25.2% over the same period last year.

However, in just one year, Guangzhou Auto Honda also had problems one after another, and its Accord model once again appeared the problem of "stall door". GAC Honda immediately made a recall to save the market losses.

Shortly after Accord announced the recall, Dongfeng Honda also announced a recall of some 2019 INSPIRE models made between March 8, 2018 and August 8, 2019, totaling 29297 vehicles, from August 30, 2019. It is reported that from January to August this year, INSPIRE sold a total of 24936 vehicles, even less than the number of recalls.

This year, Dongfeng Honda is worth mentioning that Dongfeng Honda will focus on cars this year, and the performance of its strategic model, the Huanwei and INSPIRE, is mediocre, and the Civic alone cannot bear the heavy burden. Although the recall involves a small number, it is undoubtedly even worse for INSPIRE, which already has poor sales. Dongfeng Honda's plans for most of its growth come from cars, while Guangzhou Auto Honda is almost suffering from the same problem. It seems that both Honda brands are having a hard time this year.
