When it comes to Sailin, it may be unfamiliar to many consumers. Sailin is a super car brand in the United States with a history of several decades. He has some experience in sports car modification, adjustment, production and so on, and Sailin is still a "newcomer" in the Chinese market.

It is understood that the Sailin brand was born in 1983 and was founded by Steve Sailin, an American professional racing driver. In 2000, Sailin launched its first completely self-designed supercar, the Sailin S7, which defeated Ferrari and other supercar brands in the World Super car Championships, making Sailin one of the top supercars in the world.

At present, Sailin Motor has two main supercar models, namely Sailin S1 and S7, among which Sailin S1 has been put into mass production. At the conference of Sailin Night held in July 2019, Sailin officially released a mass-produced version of Sailin S1.

A few days ago, I learned from the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that the new car will be equipped with a 2.0T engine from the Great Wall with a maximum power of 224 horsepower. In other words, Great Wall will sell its independently developed 2.0T engine to the Sailin brand. Many netizens said that if Sailin, who claims to be a national treasure supercar brand in the United States, buys the engine of the Great Wall, is there any misunderstanding about the word supercar?

When people questioned why the supercar brand would carry the engine of Great Wall, the Sailin official also issued a statement that the model disclosed in the report would not be launched in the Chinese market, and that in the future Maike would be equipped with Sailin's own engine, with a maximum power of 406hp (400hp) and a peak torque of 450Nm, as previously announced at the press conference.

According to the application information, the mass-production version of Sailin Maike is consistent with previous models, with a partial sports style design, a black middle net, smooth body lines and a suspended roof; the rear is connected by a rectangular taillight and a chrome strip. In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4744mm/1928mm/1652mm and wheelbase 2850mm respectively.

On the power side, according to the announcement, it will be equipped with a self-developed high-performance engine with a maximum power of 299kW (406hp) and a peak torque of 450km.
