In the field of new energy vehicles, Ford will launch a series of new energy models in China, including plug-in hybrid cars and pure electric vehicles. By 2021, more than 10 new energy models from Ford and Lincoln brands will be launched, including the new Ford leading EV pure electric version, the new Lincoln Aviator pilot plug-in hybrid version, and the world's first small pure electric SUV made in the year after next.

In addition, according to media reports, Ford will build a new Ford Motor Design Center in Shanghai, with a total investment of 70 million yuan. As early as 2007, an engineering R & D center was established in Nanjing, and the Ford Nanjing Test Center was officially completed in 2017. Ford Motor Shanghai Design Center, which is scheduled to be completed in June 2020, will provide exclusive styling design for Ford's future products in China, and is expected to continue to design special models for the Chinese market.
