AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)10/27 Report--
Recently, Jiangling released its third quarter report in 2019. According to the report, Jiangling Motor achieved sales revenue of 6.686 billion yuan in the third quarter of this year, up 13.28 percent from the same period last year, while net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 98.8114 million yuan, up 198.65 percent from the same period last year. In the first three quarters of 2019, the company achieved sales revenue of 20.408 billion yuan, an increase of 1.08% over the same period last year, and the net profit belonging to shareholders of listed companies was 158 million yuan, down 27.93% from the same period last year.
Although Jiangling Motor performed well in the third quarter, it still showed a decline in its financial results in the first three quarters.
Jiangling's revenue has also been affected in recent years due to the sluggish automobile market. Jiangling Motor lost 230 million yuan in the second half of 2018, down 264.5% from the same period last year. In the first half of this year, Jiangling Motor posted a net profit loss of 60 million yuan, down 81.5% from the same period last year. In the third quarter, net profit finally increased.
The analysis of the specific reasons for its profit loss has a lot to do with the decline in sales.
Jianghuai Motor sold a total of 285100 new cars in 2018, down 8.05% from the same period last year. In the first half of 2019, Jiangling Motor sales were 137000, down 7.3% from the same period last year. Jiangling Motor sales did not pick up until the third quarter of this year, up 15.7% to 66000 vehicles.
However, from Jiangling's sales of KuaiBao, we can see that it is the Ford brand that makes the greatest contribution to Jiangling. The Ford brand SUV sold 4808 new cars in September, up 674.24% from a year earlier. In the first three quarters, the Ford brand sold a total of 37624 new cars, an increase of 710.34 percent over the same period last year. From this point of view, the average sales of more than 10,000 vehicles in each quarter, although the sales are not very good, but there has been a great increase compared with last year.
On August 25th, the leading EV of Jiangling Ford officially launched two new models with a subsidized price of 18.28-206800 yuan. It is understood that the NEDC comprehensive operating condition of the leading EV is 360km, which is the pure electric version of Ford's compact SUV specially built for the Chinese market, and it is also the first pure electric model launched by Ford in China.
In 1993, Jiangling Motor was listed and initially developed as commercial and passenger vehicles; in 1995, Jiangling introduced the Ford brand and entered the SUV and MPV automobile markets; after Jiangling's Yusheng SUV sales reached 37300 in 2016, sales halved to only 7000 in 2018.
As a joint venture brand, Ford Leader has made a great contribution to Jiangling's sales and revenue, but Jiangling also has "hidden dangers". After all, many people buy leaders and focus on Ford's brand in addition to performance.
In addition, the layout of Jiangling new energy has also been hit, the current launch of easy to EV3, E400, E200N and other new energy products, but for the A0-class models of Jiangling New Energy, it is difficult to cope with the decline in subsidies and the upgrading of consumption in the automobile market.
With the development of new energy vehicles, major car companies have also made efforts in the field of new energy vehicles. However, in the current environment, it is an urgent problem for Jiangling New Energy to survive in the cold wave.
