AutoBeta(AutoBeta.net)03/14 Report--

According to foreign media reports, Fiat Chrysler (hereinafter referred to as FCA) will recall about 965000 gasoline-powered vehicles that do not meet emission standards in the United States and Canada to replace the catalytic converters of the recalled vehicles.

The recall was caused by FCA, which found damage to the performance of the vehicle's catalytic converter during the company's routine vehicle emission tests, and reported the problem to the US Environmental Protection Agency, while FAC said it would provide necessary maintenance services to affected customers free of charge.

Of the 965000 vehicles recalled, 863000 were in the United States and 103000 in Canada, while the recalled models included the 2011-2016 Dodge Journey, the 2011-2014 Chrysler 200s and Dodge Avenger, the 2011-2012 Dodge Caliber and the 2011-2016 Jeep Compass and Patriot.

The US Environmental Protection Agency says the recall will be carried out in phases this year because of the large number of vehicles involved and the need for an adequate supply of catalytic converters. FCA owners can still use their cars normally at present.
